Sarah Cracknell

Sarah Cracknell (born April 12th 1967 in Chelmsford, Essex) is an English pop singer and the lead vocalist of the pop group St Etienne, known for her light, smooth singing voice. Her father is a film Director (Stanley Kubrick’s first assistant director Derek Cracknell) and her mother is an actress. Sarah has been singing for many years and was actually singing ‘April Shower’ from Disney’s Bambi in a Burger King toilet, when discovered by bandmate’s Pete Wiggs and Bob Stanley.
Sarah married Martin Kelly (of Heavenly Records) on December 5 2004. They have two children.
