Sydney (Taronga Zoo), New South Wales, Australia

I visited this Zoo back in 1993, so it was a long time ago now, but my brother went this year (2009) and enjoyed it. When I was there, I was in awe of the two baby Orangutans they had then and spent much of my day admiring them, as they were in perfect view.
Taronga Zoo has two Orang-utans: male Jantan and female Willow. Their rainforest exhibit is a haven of cascading water and views of the harbour. A high tower at equal height with the Sky Safari cable car is Jantan’s favourite sitting spot. Please note: There is also a Taronga Western Plains Zoo, but this is different, and does not have Orangutans.http://www.zoo.nsw.gov.au/taronga-zoo/our-animals/view-by-continent/asia/orang-utan.aspx
