This restaurant has taken over the premises of the Viceroy, which I enjoyed many times. I have now been to this new restaurant and I was quite disappointed that they took the glass embossed dividers away, as it makes the area more open and square without the booth effect. However, the service was very nice; efficient and friendly and the food was good. We had a lamb cutlet starter which was impressive, followed by a very good chicken tikka dansak, which was great as it had whole lentils rather than a smooth paste. The aloo gobi was good too.
This area of Essex has so many Indian restaurants, it is hard to know which to go to, but I would try this one again, as I do like to go to different places.
