I am away for the 2010 Southend air show (Sunday 30th & Bank Holiday Monday 31st May 2010) so will unfortunately miss it.  It is the 25th year so much celebration is in order.  I wish to offer my sadness that the Red Arrows were not able to perform this year, due to an accident which took out one of its aircraft.  However, I was so pleased to hear that Flt Lt Mike Ling ejected himself from the aircraft and did not suffer any serious injuries.  Well done to the makers of the Red Arrows aircrafts!
